Plan B Net Zero Named Company of the Future at Europe’s Biggest AI Festival

Recognition from peers and industry bodies carries weight in a crowded market. When the German Institute for Sustainability and Economics presented its Company of the Future award to Plan B Net Zero in front of 8,500 attendees at the Big Bang Festival — Europe’s largest AI and innovation event — it did so because the jury concluded that the company represents a genuinely new direction for the energy industry.

The award recognised three specific contributions: the integration of artificial intelligence into energy management at scale, the application of big data to personalise the energy customer relationship, and the combination of these technologies with 100% renewable energy supply in a commercially viable model. All three are present in Plan B Net Zero’s Neo Energy platform.

The Big Bang Festival brings together technologists, entrepreneurs, investors, and policymakers to identify and celebrate innovations with real-world impact. Being named Company of the Future at that event puts Plan B Net Zero in the company of technology leaders who have shaped the direction of their industries — not merely participated in them.

Plan B Net Zero followed the award with several further milestones: a CHF 4.5 million capital raise, the launch of the Neo AI customer assistant, and the public presentation of its BESS-hydrogen hybrid storage concept at the D-A-CH Hydrogen Symposium.

Fuel Cells Works covered the symposium presentation, while Easy News Web reported on the Neo Energy strategy that brought it all together. The Plan B Net Zero Instagram documents the milestones in real time.

Awards are backward-looking by nature. What makes the Company of the Future recognition meaningful in this case is that it was followed immediately by the forward-looking product launches and commercial results that give it substance. Plan B Net Zero is not resting on the recognition — it is accelerating because of it.
